Teton Valley Museum takes you back to the early days of life in the shadow of the Grand Teton.
From an infamous bandit, an attacking grizzly, mountain man and American Indian battles and the John Colter stone… to a real pioneer school room, the museum showcases the history of the local area.
Memorial Day through September
Two stories (over 10,000 square feet) of exhibits cover more than two hundred years of history… from the extraordinary to the common lives of pioneers.
Climb inside a tepee, hop in a covered wagon, ring the school bell, and imagine firing a World War II machine gun.
Three rooms on the upper level are dedicated to the veterans from the Civil War to ongoing conflicts with photos and artifacts.
Besides exhibits of artifacts, Teton Valley Museum includes a library of local history with nearly one thousand life and family histories and thousands of digitized photographs.
Adjacent to the main museum is a large building featuring agriculture exhibits, a sheep wagon, and a snow plane. Farm machinery is on display outdoors.

The Teton Valley Museum is staffed totally by volunteers. We are funded through generous donations which allows us to keep admission fees low.
